The first thing that catches the eye is the characteristic detachable hood. You can fit a hat or even a helmet under. You can adjust it with a cord at the back. The hood can be comfortably used without any additional headgear, of course. However, what really distinguishes it is the head mosquito net that you can find on the edge of the hood.
Thanks to the dense mesh with 1mm eyelets, you are protected even against black flies.
What is worth noting, the mosquito net has enforcement that keeps the net away from the face.
This smart solution fully protects the head and neck against insects, regardless of the configuration in which we use the HIDEOUT.

HIDEOUT THERMO olive is an awesome bivvy bag, i.e. a sleeping bag cover designed both for sleeping on the ground and, what’s interesting in a hammock.
Thanks to the use of a zip-in hood, the total length is up to 2.6 m.
2.3 m tarp + 0.3 m hood. Even very tall people will have free space in their legs to be used as a compartment for e.g. shoes. For things that should stay dry and close at hand (such as a phone, headlamp, or documents) we have designed two internal pockets with waterproof zippers.

When zipped along with waterproof zippers, the bivouac tarp takes on the well-known, characteristic mummy shape. The anatomical look and the internal heat-reflecting layer maximize thermal comfort and grant leeway from the other side.
The upper part of the HIDOUT is ~90 cm wide. That guarantees comfortable sleep even for a very broad-shouldered person. Then it gradually narrows towards the feet to a width of 45 cm. (in the place where the sleeping bag usually ends, the width is 55 cm)

This shape and the expanders included in the set allow you to use HIDEOUT also as a cover for a hammock (sometimes called hammock sock).
Such a cover will protect you from wind and rain when you are in a hammock.

Every time the hood with a built-in mosquito net will protect you from mosquitoes, ticks, and other insects.

Both the material and the zippers used along the sideline are waterproof. Thanks to this, you can sleep outside without fear, e.g. under a tarp or simply in the open air without fear that you will get wet.
Of course, the THERMO layer reflects UV rays at 98%, which qualifies it at the highest UPF50+ level.

A unique feature of HIDEOUT is the possibility of connecting it with another identical bivouac and creating a two-person bivvy. This allows for mutual heating, which can be crucial in extreme conditions.

HIDEOUT is a sensational rain poncho with unique features.
In addition to the mosquito net protecting the head, it has sides closed with waterproof zippers.
This construction protects against intense rain, snow, and wind better than traditional ponchos fastened with snaps or Velcro.
Thanks to the double-sided zippers, you can increase or decrease the breathability of the poncho at any time.
The flaps of the raincoat are extended compared to other models and reach below the knees. Such a length protects the pants from getting wet when walking and sitting.
On the chest, there is a pocket with a waterproof zipper and a flap with a dedicated place for patches.
Expanders are important in this configuration too.
You can gird yourself so that the whole poncho fits better (like a raincoat) and at the same time does not hinder movement..

HIDEOUT THERMO camo can be used as a camping tarp.
The main part of the bivouac sheet is 2.3 m – it is enough to create a small shelter for one person with a canopy to protect the legs and head from driving rain.

Inspired by the pałatka, i.e. the Polish Laavu, we designed so you can zip up two HIDEOUts into one large two-person shelter.

Remember – to pitch the HIDEOUT as a shelter, use the attached expanders. They very comfortably tension the shelter and at the same time protect the loops and the fabric from possible damage.

Safety of use and adjustment when HIDEOUT is used as a tarp, under a blanket, or poncho is secured by flexible expanders. They are designed to take over any stresses arising during use. In the situation that the stresses or forces acting on the HIDEOUT are too big than the expanding capacity of the expanders, the flexible expander cord will slip out of the end hook. This is the warning and the intended protection against damage. In this way, the plastic hooks at the ends of the expanders act as fuses.
Inserting the end of the expander back into the hook is very easy – lift the flap on the top side of the hook, insert the end of the expander into the gap between the flap and the main part of the hook, and close the flap. Do not allow the end of the expander to slip out of the hook – this means that the forces and stresses acting on the HIDEOUT are too big and may cause damage not covered by the warranty.

Even though the outer material is waterproof and vapor permeable, intensive use of HIDEOUT can lead to moisture from the inside. It can come from both condensed water vapor (dew point) and after prolonged contact of the material with water.
These are natural phenomena.

Repair patch

Each HIDEOUT comes with a repair patch in case something breaks.
Just clean and dry the damaged area.
Gently remove the adhesive surface protection and apply the patch.
Press down and wait 20 minutes – ready.
